Reminder: Preschool storytime and craft is set for 10:30 a.m. May 22 and June 12 and 26. Registration is not required.

The Saturday movie events will continue with “Bolt” May 30, “The Land Before Time” June 13 and “The Good Dinosaur” June 20. The movie starts 11 a.m.

The 2026 summer reading program is almost here! Registration for this year’s program — Unearth a Story — begins June 1.
Forms will be available on the library’s website, coplaypl.org, or at the library. The program starts June 22.
You will receive a welcome pack with the program details when you bring a completed registration form to the library. Special programs for children and adults are planned. We will also be showing dinosaur movies Saturdays.
Earn tickets toward gift baskets by logging your reading, participating in activities and attending programs.

Children’s author Deborah Niemoczynski will visit 11 a.m.-1 p.m. June 6. She will read from her book “Raising Ruth,” a fictional story based on a young girl’s upbringing on her parents’ Pennsylvania farm. She will also sign copies of her book and have coloring pages available.
This program is appropriate for children who are at least 4 years old.

Enjoy dinner 4-9 p.m. June 7 at Samuel Owens Restaurant and Bar, 128 Chestnut St., Coplay, and the restaurant will donate 10% of dine-in checks to the library. Mention the library when you order.

The teen and adult coloring group will meet 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. No registration is required.

It’s never too early to start reading to your child. Sign your child up for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Read any book to your newborn, infant and/or toddler. Keep track of the titles of the books on our convenient reading log sheets or any other method you choose. When patrons reach 50, and then for each 100 books, they will get an award.
There is no time limit to the program, and more than one child can participate.

Fiber Arts and Friends Circle, for teens and adults, regularly meets 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. Learn to crochet, work on a current project or just get advice from our more experienced crafters. We have extra yarn and knitting/crochet needles for you to use if needed.
