Wheels of Time Cruise Night scheduled for Sept. 26

The Macungie Farmers Market is open 4-7 p.m. Thursday evenings at its new location on Lumber Street. The market features local family farmers providing homegrown food: fruits, vegetables, meat products, eggs, baked goods, plants and more.

Facilities at Macungie Memorial Park will be reopened based on guidelines provided by the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society. Pavilions, buildings and grounds are available for rent. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed. To check availability, contact macungiepark@gmail.com or 610-966-4289.

The following events have been canceled at Macungie Memorial Park: Lehigh Valley Fiber Festival Sept. 19-20; the Macungie Minstrelaires production of “Singing is Out of This World” and the Macungie Halloween Parade Oct. 24.

Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., has extended the cancellation of worship and all gatherings indefinitely. They will offer a recorded worship service 9 a.m. Sunday mornings. Grace Lutheran Church will hold a monthly outdoor drive-up or walk-up Grace Food Cupboard Give-Away 2:30-5 p.m. on the fourth Friday of the month. The next food pantry will be held Sept. 25 in the parking lot. Anyone can fill one bag with non-perishable food. Donations can be dropped off between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Grace Lutheran Church has resumed their free community meal as a drive-up option. The next meal will be 5-7 p.m. Sept. 11.

There will be a Wheels of Time Cruise Night 3 p.m. until dark Sept. 26 at Macungie Memorial Park. Cars can start arriving 2 p.m. Refreshments will be available.

The Autumn Mineralfest will be held 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 3 at Macungie Memorial Park, rain or shine. There will be dealers and tables of minerals, fossils, gems, geodes, crystals and more. Cash bingo is held weekly Saturday evenings at Macungie Memorial Park. Doors open 4:30 p.m. and games begin 6:30 p.m. Attendance is limited to 60 people; seating is spaced for social distancing.
