PHS baseball wins last four games

The Parkland baseball team won its final four games of the 2026 season as it heads into the East Penn Conference playoffs this week.

The Trojans capped the season with a 16-7 win over Emmaus Monday.

After Parkland opened a 5-0 lead through the top of the third inning, Emmaus rallied and tied the game at 7-7 with a six-run fourth inning. The Trojans answered with five runs in the top of the fifth inning and another five in the top of the seventh to seal the win.

Tsubasa Magota went 3-for-4 in the win while also walking once, scoring twice and driving in a run. Ben Weninger went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs while walking once and scoring once.

Carter DeLong and Henry Weikel also had two hits in the win, with DeLong scoring four times and Weikel crossing the plate twice.

Chase Brunner allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits and four walks. Jack Streeter got the win by allowing three hits and two runs (none earned) over four innings while striking out eight Hornets and walking one.

Parkland beat Allen 7-6 in 12 innings on Sunday.

Tied 6-6 through 11 and a half innings, DeLong drew a no-out walk in the 12th inning. He moved around the bases on singles by Ben Taylor and Brunner before scoring on a Swayer Marstellar walk-off fielder’s choice.

DeLong reached base five times in the win, going 3-for-3 and drawing a pair of walks. He scored three times and knocked in a pair of runs. Weninger also had two hits in the win.

Marstellar pitched 8.2 innings while allowing four hits and three runs (none earned) to earn the win. He struck out 14 Canaries and walked six.

The Trojans defeated Northampton 17-7 in five innings last Friday.

Streeter went 3-for-4 with five RBI in the win. Aiden Henning, DeLong and Weninger had two hits each in the win.

Demspey Lawson got the win. He pitched four innings and allowed seven runs on seven hits while striking out nine Konkrete Kids and walking two.

Streeter pitched one hitless inning and struck out two batters.

Parkland beat Dieruff 11-1 in five innings last Thursday.

Magota reached base four times in the win, going 2-for-2 and walking twice. DeLong, Wininger, Streeter and Nolan Wampler all had two hits each in the win.

DeLong pitched all five innings and allowed two hits and one run while striking out eight batters and walking four.

The Trojans finish the season at 14-6 overall and 13-3 in the East Penn Conference.

They were one of three teams that finished with a 13-3 league record, along with Whitehall and Liberty. That trio will make up the top three seeds for the league playoff tournament, which begins later this week.
