Allen/East Allen townships: Lappawinzo schedules shoots

Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association, 25 Lappawinzo Road, Allen Township, is hosting trap shooting and skeet shooting.

Trap shooting is held 5 p.m. Tuesdays.

Skeet shooting is held 5 p.m. Thursdays.

Registrations are now being accepted for East Allen Township’s summer camp. The camp, for youths ages 6 to 14, is scheduled for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. June 21 through Aug. 6 at Bicentennial Park.

Registration forms can be found on the township’s website, eatwp.org, under Parks & Recreation, then Forms and Documents.

Boy Scout Troops 40 and 540 will hold a blood drive 8 a.m.-4 p.m. May 15 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1335 Old Carriage Road, Kreidersville.

East Allen Township Fire Department, 5354 Nor Bath Blvd., is holding a raffle noon-4 p.m. May 16.

The drawing will take place 4:30 p.m. If not present, prizes can be picked up May 17 at the station.

The Bertsch-Hokendauqua-Catasauqua Watershed Association will be holding an introduction to reptiles and amphibians event 11 a.m. May 29 at Wayne Grube Park pavilion 3, 1200 Willowbrook Road, Allen Township.

The program will be led by Brad Kunsman, Penn State Extension educator and hobby herpetologist.

Get up close and personal with some creatures of the watershed to learn about reptile and amphibian characteristics, habits and more.

The event will be held rain or shine.

Participants will follow Pennsylvania Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

The sixth annual Northampton Area School District Student Council car show will be 9 a.m.-3 p.m. July 31 at Bicentennial Park West, 5351 Park West Lane, East Allen Township. Rain date is Aug. 1.

All makes, models and years of cars, trucks, motorcycles and antique tractors are welcome.

Registration begins 9 a.m. Awards, 30 in all, will be presented 3 p.m.

The first 100 preregistered vehicles will receive dash plaques.

Highlights of the day include door prizes, a tricky tray, food, deejay and a craft/flea market.

All proceeds benefit NASD Student Council.

East Allen Township Parks & Recreation is running a bus trip to Gettysburg Sept. 11.

The trip includes bus accommodations, a two-hour battlefield tour, visit to Gettysburg Museum & Cyclorama, dinner at Hickory Bridge Farm and a visit to Hollabaugh Bros. Farmers Market.
