Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will be having an outdoor bluegrass worship service 9:30 a.m. Sept. 10, weather permitting. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair and/or blanket!
Also, Emmanuel’s will be hosting its congregation picnic noon-5 p.m. Sept. 10. There will be fun, food, games, tractor rides, bingo, a cake walk and, of course, ice cream.
Kids can come out and meet their Sunday school teachers.

At 10 a.m. Sept. 10, Chapman Quarries United Methodist Church, 1433 Main St., off Route 987, will have its fall kickoff.
