St. John's Lutheran Church will hold a dinner open to the public on Saturday.
Shepherd's pie is on the menu.
The church hall, located on South Third Street, will be open to diners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase at the door.
The church boasts of a new kitchen with state-of-the-art equipment.

In the Nov. 4, election, local Democrats enjoyed a commanding margin over Republicans.
A much better than expected turnout showed up at the Coplay polling sites – the CFC hall on Cherry Street and the St. John's church hall.
The contest for governor drew a combined 856 ballots. Tom Wolf, Democrat, who won statewide, notched 520 unofficial ballots at the borough's two precincts. Governor Tom Corbett, Republican, lost across the Commonwealth, and in the borough where he recorded 316 unofficial ballots.
State Rep., Dan McNeill, Democrat, is returning to Harrisburg. Voters in the borough's two precincts gave McNeill, of Hokendauqua, 481 votes compared to David Moloney, Republican, of Catasauqua, 326 votes.

Trinity United Church of Christ, Coplay, will sponsor a vendor craft event Sunday, Nov. 16, at the American Club of Coplay Pavilion, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
Breakfast and lunch will be served to the public.

Coplay Recreation & Welfare Association is keeping with tradition and will provide its food bank families and individuals, with a full Thanksgiving dinner.
The clients will cook the meals provided them at their residences on Thanksgiving Day.
The families will also be given their monthly food allotment.
