The borough will hold trick-or-trick night tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to turn on their porch lights during that time.

The Northampton Area Food Bank will hold a coin toss on Saturday, Nov. 1, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., on Held Drive.

Volunteers are needed to help with the event. If available, call 610-262-8030 or email volunteer@northamptonareafoodbank.org.

The Northampton Area Public Library, 1615 Laubach Ave., will host a book discussion with local author Paul Acampora, writer of "I Kill the Mockingbird" at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6.

The book is part of the library's YA/Tween group's book discussion, but the evening is open to the general public as well.

This event was made possible by PA FORWARD, the Pennsylvania Library Association's 21st-century literacy initiative.

St. John's Friendly Fifties will meet Monday, Nov. 10, 1 p.m., in the church's social hall, 1343 Newport Ave. Elvis impersonator Bernd Weishaupt will entertain.

Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will meet Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the Northampton Community Center, 1601 Laubach Ave.

Doors open at noon. Christmas party tickets will be sold at the meeting.

Vocalists Tanya and Marge will entertain.

Refreshments will be served.
