Moore Township head coach Robert Brooks is excited about his group of Connie Mack players this season.
With some strong leaders, and the team recently notching its first victory of the season, it's all for good reason.
"We have a lot of potential, I just need to get it out of them and hopefully continue our winning ways," Brooks said. "Every game in Connie Mack season is important. Every team is competitive."
Moore is led by Jesse Yeuntch, and Brooks has high praise for him.
"This young man is the hardest working player I may have ever seen," Brooks said. "He is nothing but baseball from the moment he arrives at practice and games."
The team has a few 16-year-olds that will help to lead as well. Nick De Mieri also plays Legion baseball for Northampton, and Ryan Werley, who threw a complete game in Moore's first victory of the season last week. C.J Gantz is the team's leadoff hitter and Daniel Thomas can play just about any position on the field, according to Brooks. Austin Brooks is the team's number-five hitter and will also be counted on.
Rounding out the team is: Kyle Collina, Austin Erdossy, Matt Hilbert, Carson Keefe, Conlan Keefe, Hunter Moore, Mark Pereira, John Pereira, Tanner Smith, Joe Stumar Jr., Owen Thoma, Isaac Tucker and Tyler Whitemore.
