The following are Northampton soccer scholar athlete nominees, which will be honored at a banquet this Sunday, Jan. 12, at the Northampton Community Center.

Leandra M. Sterner

Sterner is a forward with 47 career goals and 16 career assists, including 23 goals and four assists this season. She ranks 124th in a class of 418 with a 3.56 GPA.

She was named the Northampton Press Athlete of the Year. She was recognized with all-state honors and an all-LVIAC first team selection this season. She was named an honorable mention on the all-LVIAC team in her first three seasons. She is also a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) and SAC Council, and plays club soccer, tournament softball and AAU basketball.

She plans to attend college and major in sports medicine.

Christopher S. Rehrig

Rehrig is a sweeper on the soccer team. He ranks 10th in a class of 418 with a 3.89 GPA out of 4.0.

In addition to soccer, he participates in track and field for the Konkrete Kids. He is also a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) and National Honor Society.

He plans to attend Lebanon Valley College and pursue a degree in Biology.
