receive honors
Amy Cengeri, of Kutztown, was named secretary of the Alvernia University's chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon Honor Society in fall 2012.
Cengeri is a occupational therapy major at the university.
Pi Theta Epsilon is a specialized honor society for occupational therapy students and alumni.
The society recognizes and encourages superior scholarship among students enrolled in professional entry-level programs at accredited educational programs across the United States.
Aaron Farrell, of Schnecksville, was named a member of the university's chapter of Delta Epsilon Sigma Catholic Honor Society in fall 2012.
Farrell, a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, is a criminal justice major at the university.
Delta Epsilon Sigma is a National Scholastic Honor Society for students, faculty, and alumni of colleges and universities with a Catholic tradition.
Benefits of this honor society include an annual scholarship and fellowship competition, life-long subscription to the "Delta Epsilon Sigma Journal," voting and nomination rites, a national student award for graduating seniors, an annual writing competition, and a distinguished lecturer program.
