Gary L. Talijan, 86, of Bethlehem Township, died Oct. 9, 2026 in St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem. He was a son of the late Michael and Louise (Catone) Talijan, and the husband of Rosemarie (McCluskey) Talijan since 1960.

He was a 1959 graduate of Liberty HS, where he wrestled.

He was a chemical operator with Hoffman-La Roche in Belvidere, NJ before retirement. Earlier he was employed as a dye foreman with Flock Industries and employed with Ingersoll-Rand.

He was an avid sports fan of high school football and wrestling, in particular Phillipsburg HS and Liberty HS. He was an exceptional craftsman and could fix just about anything.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Alpha, where he also served as an Usher for many decades; the Garnet Booster Club; and the Steele Hill Boys Club.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by: sons Gary (wife, Sharlene) and Blair (wife, Gina); a sister, Maureen Encarnacion; his four granddaughters; and two great-grandsons; nieces and nephews.
