The wait is over for volleyball teams across the area, as the season gets its first full week of action on the calendar.

Liberty look to get off to a good start with matches against Northampton and Bethlehem Catholic this week.

The Golden Hawks are optimistic about their chances to compete for a district title this season and start with Easton before Wednesday’s home showdown against the Hurricanes.

Freedom has three matches on tap for the week, as they open with Nazareth, before playing Easton and getting a nonconference matchup against Northwestern on Thursday.
