Lucille J. “Lucy” Bennick, 85, of Bethlehem, died Aug. 12, 2026, in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg Campus. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of James F. and Etrulia (Rowe) Snyder and the wife of the late John M. Bennick Sr., who died in 1979.

She was a bartender for most of her life, most recently at Dewey Fire Company, Hellertown.

She was a member of the 540 Democratic Club, Independent Citizen’s Club, Heights Athletic Association, Hellertown American Legion and the Roosevelt Democratic Club.

She is urvived by; son Richard Bennick; daughter Dee Klager-Merenyi; stepsons John Jr. and James; sister Dorothy Burke; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son Michael in 1984, stepdaughters Anita and April; brothers Richard, John and James Heidecker; and sisters Shirley Beck and Pat Leayman.
