David M. Rider, 59, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2026, with his beloved wife by his side. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frank P. Rider and Marilyn H. Rider (Michaels) and the husband of Amie J. Rider (Hammerly), whom he married Aug. 9, 2019.

He was a graduate of Liberty HS and earned a degree in design and drafting from Lincoln Technical Institute. He built a career as an NPD Designer with EMD Electronics.

He began by working at Hawk Music Store and later combined his love of music with his technical talents as a sound engineer and band manager for several local bands, and spent many years participating in Civil War reenactments.

He volunteered with Veteran organizations, including Camp Freedom, Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon, and the Valor Clinic.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by; stepson, Dylan; daughter, Amanda L. Huntsman (Rider), and her husband, Tyler; cherished grandson, Bentley; and an expected granddaughter. He is also survived by two siblings.
