Barlow on Hartford Dean’s Lisy

The University of Hartford is pleased to announce that Lucas Barlow of Bethlehem has been named to the University of Hartford’s dean’s list and president’s list for the spring 2026 semester.

The dean’s list recognizes students achieving superior academic standing. The requirement, with some exceptions, is a grade-point average of at least 3.0 and no grade below C.

The President’s List recognizes a select group of students reaching the highest level of academic standing. To be placed on the President’s List, students must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.75 and receive grades of C or better.

Rodriguez named to Arkansas dean’s list

Crismeyli Rodriguez of Bethlehem has been named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2026 semester at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

The dean’s list recognized over 1,800 students with superior academic performances at the end of the semester. To be on the dean’s list, UA Little Rock students must earn at least nine credit hours and maintain at least a 3.5 GPA.

Snyder among first scholarship recipients

Madison Snyder, a graduate of Moravian University, is among the first students to complete a four-year degree through the scholarship and mentorship programs of Caracal Academy.

Snyder earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing and was recognized alongside Marcus Jeter Jr., who graduated from Tuskegee University with a degree in construction science and management, as the inaugural four-year scholarship recipients.

Caracal Academy recently announced its third annual scholarship golf tournament raised a record $97,000 to support student scholarships and leadership development through its Charles A. Roberts and Ann E. Lamb scholarship programs.

Snyder said the Charles A. Roberts Scholarship helped her graduate with less debt and prepare for a career as a registered nurse serving an underserved population.

“The Caracal Academy scholarship afforded me the opportunity to graduate with less debt but with an appreciation for the hand up it provided,” Snyder said. “I hope that my career as a registered nurse in a hospital that provides care to an underserved population makes you proud.”

Students earn national SkillsUSA honor

Emily Feijoo, of Bethlehem, a student at Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School, received a Skill Point Certificate in esthetics at the 2026 SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference, held June 1-5 in Atlanta.

Skill Point Certificates recognize competitors who achieve a predetermined proficiency score in the national SkillsUSA Championships, demonstrating career readiness in their field. Feijoo qualified for the national competition by winning at the state level.

Cole Stefano, from Bethlehem and a student at Bethlehem AVTS (Bethlehem), was awarded the high school bronze medal in Marine Service Technology.

More than 7,000 students from across the country competed in 115 career and leadership contests during this year’s national championships, the largest skilled workforce competition in the world.

Birchard honored with volunteer award

During the 2025-26 academic year, University of Maryland Global Campus recognized Kristin Birchard of Bethlehem for service on the Student Insight Council. Volunteers play a vital role in shaping the UMGC experience by providing feedback that helps create a stronger future for the university community.

Two on Grove City’s dean’s list

Two Bethlehem area residents were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2026 semester at Grove City College. They are Grace Baittinger and Andrew Hutchinson.

Students eligible for the dean’s list have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59.

Residents on St. Francis dean’s list

Two Bethlehem area residents have been named to the St. Francis University ‘s spring 2026 Dean’s Lists. To achieve dean’s list, students must have full-time status and attain a quality point average of 3.500 on 12 or more credits during a single semester, with no continuing or incomplete grades-except students in Independent Studies or Honors 444.

Local students are Deven Pandey, majoring in business administration, and Noah Potts, majoring in finance.

Tallada on Charleston President’s List

Isabella Tallada, of Bethlehem, was named to the College of Charleston Spring 2026 President’s List. Tallada is majoring in International Studies and Music.

To qualify for the President’s List (Highly Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.800 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.
