SP improves to 9-1, leads LVL standings
Three more games, three more wins.
The Trojans keep rolling.
South Parkland improved to 9-1 on the season with three Lehigh Valley Legion wins in three days, outscoring opponents 24-2.
Carter Wanamaker pitched all five innings for a complete game in a 17-0 win against Salisbury, allowing just one hit and one walk. Wanamaker also went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Jaxon Kramer led the 13 hit attack with three hits and Jake Strobl, Ben Weninger, Andrew Bowser, and Shaye Wanamaker all collected two hits.
South Parkland scored 13 runs in the top of the third inning as 17 batters stepped to the plate with seven drawing walks. There were five singles, one double, and a triple in the inning.
Nolan Wampler’s triple brought in one run and a pair of singles made it 2-0.
Jaxon Kramer added a run before a parade of four straight hitters drew walks, with each pushing home a run to make it 7-0.
Strobl’s single up the middle brought in two runs and another walk reloaded the bases.
Bowser delivered an RBI single, and a ground ball pushed home another run for an 11-0 Parkland lead. Kramer, in his second at-bat of the inning doubled to left to score the final two runs of the inning with the Trojans up 13-0.
Weninger had an RBI double and Andrew Bowser had a two-run single in the fourth for a 16-0 lead and after the Falcons went down 1-2-3 in the top of the fifth, three singles made it 17-0 in favor of South Parkland. Wanamaker ended the game without any damage in the bottom of the fifth.
Against Whitehall-Coplay, Andrew Bowser and Ryan Rooney each had a pair of hits with Kramer and Nick Bowser driving in runs for a 3-1 win.
Weninger had two hits and drive in two runs in the Trojans 4-1 win over North Parkland. Strobl also drove in two runs.
Andrew Bowser and Sawyer Marsteller split the pitching with Bowser giving up one run in four innings and Marsteller throwing three shutout innings against Whitehall.
Against the Buffs, Weninger allowed a hit and a walk in four shutout innings with Rooney pitching 1 2/3 shutout innings and Nick Bowser allowing an unearned run in 1 1/3 innings.
South Parkland (9-1) has a showdown with second place Lower Macungie (6-2) this week and then plays at Whitehall-Coplay on Friday.
