L.V. Active Life offers various activities
Lehigh Valley Active Life, 1633 W. Elm St., Allentown, is offering the following dances 7-10 p.m. in the Trexler Room.
The per person fee includes refreshments.

Dance classes include:
·July 13, 20, 27: Intro to Line Dance led by Linda Peters, 1:45 p.m. Learn the basic steps and proper technique with fun, easy dances to all genres of music. No experience needed.
The following creative arts classes are offered:
·July 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29: Arts & Crafts Group led by Trisha Baker, 9-11 a.m.
·July 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31: Art For Everyone, led by Suzanne Bauder, noon. New and advanced students welcome. Whatever medium you choose, help is available.
·July 9, 16, 23, 30: Knit and Chat, 9 a.m. Stop in, work on your own projects, knit, crochet or embroider. Chat about your work or any other subjects and enjoy the conversation.
·July 9, 16, 23, 30: Junk Journaling/Book Making led by Jean Burd, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Have fun making a book and filling it with themed pages. Bring glue sticks, magazines and scissors.
·July 9, 13, 20, 27: Drawing led by Judy Peters, 9:30 a.m. Learn how to draw with pencils. An introduction to composition, outlining and shading.
·July 14, 21, 28: Ceramics led by Bonny Batman, 9 a.m. The class fee includes paints and drop ins are welcome.

·July 16, 30: Lehigh Valley Pops Orchestra, conducted by Ron De Grandis, 9 a.m.
Exercise classes include:
·July 10, 17, 24, 31: Tai Chi for Balance led by Bob Donnelly (Pai Ma Shen), 10:30 a.m. A holistic exercise that helps reduce stress and promote physical well-being. Using slow flowing movement to coordinate breath and enhance strength, balance and calmness.
·July 10, 13, 17. 20, 24, 27, 31: Fit Circuit led by Sara Mercer, 12:30 p.m. This low impact circuit style class, featuring upbeat choreography mixed with strength training, is a great overall cardio workout.
·July 13, 20, 27: Barre, led by instructor Michele Fisher, 10:15 a.m. A low impact toning class that blends the principals of Pilates, yoga, strength training and ballet to activate your entire body. Focus on proper body alignment, balance, stability, and flexibility and strength; targeting hips, glutes, abs and arms. Standing and floor work and the ballet barre is used for some portions of class, but this is not a dance class.
·July 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29: Zumba, led by instructor Grace Conti, 9:30 a.m. Dancers and nondancers will enjoy this Latin inspired, dance fitness class, which is designed for seniors.
·July 9, 13, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30: Zumba led by instructor Ed Nickels 9 a.m. Dancers and nondancers will enjoy this Latin inspired dance fitness class, which is designed for seniors. ·July 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30: Silver Warrior, led by instructor Rob Comins, 9 a.m. This class is structured to help improve balance, cognitive functions, coordination, endurance, strength and relive stress.
·July 14, 21, 28: Tai Chi Qigong, led by instructor Alice Perry, 2:10 p.m. Very beginner, friendly, meditative and peaceful. The class consists of two sets of 18 movements each.
·July 9, 16, 23, 30: YiJinJing, led by instructor Alice Perry, 2:10 p.m. Students will improve range of motion and mental suppleness with these flowing sets of moves known as YiJinJing, which translates to “the muscles, tendon, ligament and bone changing method”. Classes are beginner friendly because the movements are simple, flowing and easy to follow; each will include a mix of standing, walking, seated and even reclining sequences.
The following groups will be offered:
·July 10, 17, 24, 31: Photography composition basics with Instructor Ray Royer, 12:30 p.m. This group is for anyone who wants to improve their photography skills using a cellphone or camera.
·July 9, 16, 23, 30: Poetry appreciation 2 p.m. This group is for anyone who enjoys and appreciates poetry.
