Helen Marie Lavendoski

100 years old

Helen Marie Lavendoski, 100, formerly of Northampton, died June 18, 2026, at the home of her son in Pinehurst, N.C. She was the wife of the late Stephen Anthony Lavendoski for 48 years.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late John J. Jurasits and Rose Marie Milisits.

She attended Our Lady of Hungary Grade School and Northampton High School.

She worked in several professions, including as a press operator at Rodale in Emmaus, a seamstress at Parmet Company in Catasauqua and in the women’s fashions department of Clover in Whitehall.

She was a member of the former Our Lady of Hungary Church, now Queenship of Mary Catholic Church.

She was a member of the Altar-Rosary Society, St. Peter and Paul Society and Coplay Saengerbund. She enjoyed church bingo games and the women’s bowling league at Hampton Lanes.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane of Northampton; a son, John with Kathleen of Pinehurst, N.C.; a stepson, Kerry with Carolyn of Newland, N.C.; two grandchildren, Esther Rose and Stephen Thomas; four nieces, Patsy Guignet, Barbara Miller, Ginny Durborow and Patricia Bitenc; seven grandnieces and grandnephews, Patrice, Rodney, Pamela, Lynette, Jodeen, Devon and Will; many great- and great-great-grandnieces and grandnephews; and a multitude of cousins.

She was predeceased by an infant son, Stephen Keith; a daughter, Cynthia Rose; a sister, Rose (Jurasits) Transue; a nephew, Bobby Transue; and a niece, Rosalind (Transue) Hill.

Arrangements were made by Reichel Funeral Home Inc., Northampton.
