Anna Marie Chickey, 80, of Bethlehem, died April 20, 2026. She was a daughter of the late Andrew and Blanche (Ponticelli) Varady. She was the wife of Joseph J. Chickey for 60 years.

She worked at Glenby Company Orr’s Department Store in Bethlehem as a Cosmetologist. She also worked for the Bethlehem Area School District’s Evening Program teaching sewing, and was a part of the Childcare program. For 16 years, she was the office manager at Cheryl Chickey’s All American P.A.C. She planned many studio trips, including the Miss America Parade and Pageant, and loved to help at recitals, and took immense pride in being her own Property Manager for her Cape May home.

She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church of Bethlehem, and volunteered for many different organizations, including East Hills Band and Freedom HS Band.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by; two daughters, Joanne Chickey, and Cheryl (Lawrence) Chickey-Cipolone; grandchildren Nicholas and Layla Cipolone; and a brother, John (Gail) Varady.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy, and her husband Ronald Hersh Sr.; as well as a sister-in-law, Tina Chickey.
