Lehigh County 4-H: Summer youth camps offered

Lehigh County 4-H is inviting youth to sign up for three hands-on summer day camps taking place at the Lehigh County Ag Center, 4184 Dorney Park Road, Allentown. Whether your child is passionate about animals, curious about science or ready to try something new, there is a camp designed just for them.

Beginner archery camp will be 6-8 p.m. June 10-12 (two sessions). Open to youth ages 8-18, as of Jan. 1, this beginner archery program gives young people a safe and structured introduction to the sport. All equipment is provided or participants may bring their own. An introduction night is required 7 p.m. May 26 to secure a session.

Cloverbud 4-H discovery camp is scheduled for 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. June 22-24. Designed for youth ages 5-10, as of Jan. 1, this three-day adventure is perfect for younger children who want to explore a wide range of activities.

Junior vet camp will be held 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. July 21-23. Calling all future veterinarians! Youth ages 10-14, as of Jan. 1, will spend three days learning real animal care skills.

No prior 4-H experience is required to attend. Camps are open to all eligible youth in the area and are a great way for families new to 4-H to discover what the program has to offer.

There is a cost.

The registration deadline is May 19. Visit 4h.zsuite.org, select Lehigh County, and click on Events. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
