Press Photos by Tabitha SchadeLower Milford Township Manager, Elizabeth Lembach, welcomes volunteers for the annual Spring Clean Up Day April 18. Lower Milford Township Public Works Foreman, Dan Wisser, right and Leonard Cerami, equipment operator, center, prepare to canvass the township for trash collected by the event’s 35 volunteers.
Township resident Bill Roy has participated in the annual clean up day for many years. Pictured here picking up discarded trash along Dillingersville Road, he and the other volunteers collected approximately 63 bags of trash, 14 tires, as well as a couple other miscellaneous items destined for disposal.
Volunteers procure gloves and get dressed in high visibility vests in order to safely scour the streets for discarded trash.
Young volunteers sign the release forms before the start of the “Pick Up PA” community clean up initiative, which Lower Milford Township residents have been actively participating in since 2007.
