Bath: Historical society plans April 20 tours

Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, East Allen Township, will be open 1-3 p.m. April 20 for tours of the historic buildings, grounds and new museum.

Bath Museum, 121 S. Walnut St., will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 20.

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, will be holding a designer purse bingo April 21. The doors open 11 a.m., and the games start 1 p.m.

Featured will be items from Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Coach and Vera Bradley. There will be a Chinese auction, 50/50 and raffle.

The kitchen will be open, and it’s a BYOB event.

Tickets will be available at the door, but there is a discount for tickets bought in advance.

Bath Area Fish Committee will be hosting its annual kids fishing contest 8 a.m. April 27 through 3 p.m. April 28 at Monocacy Creek.

Volunteers are always needed for various jobs.

Christ United Church of Christ, 109 S. Chestnut St., has set its annual spring fling basket social for 4-7 p.m. May 3, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. May 4 and 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. May 5. Drawings are set to start 3:30 p.m. May 5.

There will be more than 100 baskets and a cash prize of $1,000.

Baked goods will be on sale May 4, and food will be served May 5.
