Annual purse bingo March 10

Salisbury Township schools will be closed March 8 for teacher professional development.

The Salisbury Elementary School PTO 10th annual purse bingo will be held noon to 4 p.m. March 10 at Salisbury Middle School. Tickets can be preordered on the PTO tool kit and will be available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open 11:45 a.m. with bingo starting 1 p.m. Snacks will be available to purchase.

Tickets are now on sale for the Salisbury High School Theatre spring musical “The Spitfire Grill” – a story about the relationship between a young girl and a bitter widow after the Vietnam War. Performances will be 7 p.m. March 14-16 and 2 p.m. March 17. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. It is recommended children under 10 do not attend due to certain content. If you need special seating accommodations, contact Cherie Pennella at cpennella@salisburysd.org. Veterans and active military personnel are admitted free of charge.

The Salisbury Recreation Advisory Committee’s annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held 10 a.m. March 16 at Lindberg Park (weather permitting). This event is for children ages 3-10 and children must be registered for this event by March 13. The registration form can be found on the township website.

The Salisbury Elementary School PTO Penny Wars will begin March 18 and run through March 22. This is a PTO fundraiser to help fund field trips, after school clubs and other student activities. Which class will win this year?

Salisbury Middle School will hold its spring Scholastic Book Fair March 18-22.

The kindergarten class at SES will be parading around the school (weather permitting) March 20 showing off their Easter bonnets.

On March 21, students and staff are encouraged to wear blue and yellow for Down syndrome awareness.
