Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire company holds recognition dinner

PRESS PHOTOS BY JIM MARSH Salisbury resident Jerry Royer, foreground, is recognized as the longest serving firefighter on the roster of the Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company, at the fire company's annual service recognition dinner recently. Commending his service are: Chief Joshua Wells, left; Assistant Chief William Sames, center and the fire company's board president, Adam Al-Khal. Royer has served in a number of fire officer positions during his time with the fire company and is now the department's safety officer, responsible for seeing all firefighter safety protocols are observed at fire and rescue scenes.
Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company Chief Joshua Wells receives a donation from Debra Brinton, president of the Salisbury Township Board of Commissioners, “for all the things you do to help keep the residents of our township safe.” The presentation took place at the fire company's annual volunteer service recognition dinner recently.
