Thanksgiving lunch served to seniors

PRESS PHOTOS BY KATHY HASSICK Eyer Middle School principal Thomas Ruhf welcomes senior citizens to a Thanksgiving luncheon Nov. 17 in the school cafeteria. After a two year hiatus, seniors were treated to a delicious turkey dinner and were served by student members of Junior National Honor Society.
Junior National Honor Society members Sophia Shutkufski and Gracie Huffer take a quick break from serving to stand for a photo. Eyer Middle School students worked hard to efficiently serve hungry senior citizens a meal consisting of turkey, stuffing and green beans.
After finishing his turkey dinner Matt Cooper quizzes student servers on American History facts proving there's always something you can learn from your elders.
Jonah Laughlin shows off his impressive culinary skills as he pipes a dollop of whipped cream on each slice of pie. Blake Tillinghast and Ryan Feldman were in charge of evenly slicing each pie.
Carter Smith is on his game as he expertly serves Oliver and Susan Block with a flare and style.
