State police blotter

Burglary

A green 2021 Kawasaki KX450 motorcycle was removed from Blackmans Cycle Center, 4911 Buckeye Road, Upper Milford Township, after a chain-link fence on a gated lot was cut March 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The burglary happened between 5:09 and 5:14 a.m. The suspects fled the scene in a U-Haul rental vehicle, traveling westbound on Buckeye Road.

Signs of tampering were found on the side door of a building at a location on Gun Club Road, Lower Macungie Township, after troopers responded to a burglar alarm at the location 8:30 a.m. Feb. 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. There were no signs of entry into the building and nothing was missing.

Someone broke into an unoccupied camper at a location on Church View Road, Lower Milford Township and removed a television, a laptop, a phone and a bicycle, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 17.

Terroristic threats

A 25-year-old male, of Whitehall, was taken into custody after he allegedly threatened a 38-year-old male at Ciocca Subaru, 4611 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 11:41 a.m. March 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male allegedly yelled at other people in the area before making the threat and yelled and cursed after being told to leave.

Simple assault

A 50-year-old female was arrested and taken into custody after she allegedly struck another person with a wrench during an argument at a location on McKeever Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:30 p.m. March 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Dog incident

A dog broke free from its owner and allegedly bit two other dogs in the area of Iron Drive and Scenic View Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 1:16 p.m. March 2, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The investigation was referred to the Lehigh County Dog Warden.

DUI

A 52-year-old male, of Macungie, was placed under arrest for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the area of Pennsylvania Route 100 and Sauerkraut Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 12:23 a.m. March 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 51-year-old male, of Bethlehem, was placed under arrest for allegedly driving under the influence after troopers responded to the 2800 block of Limeport Pike, Lower Milford Township, for a disabled motorist, 9:12 a.m. March 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogeslville.

A 29-year-old female, of Philadelphia, was placed under arrest for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop at the intersection of Buckeye Road and Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:02 a.m. March 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 42-year-old male, of Blandon, was found to be allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop at the intersection of Cotton Street and South Chestnut Street, Macungie borough, 1:11 a.m. March 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft from vehicle

A purse was removed from a minivan at a day care facility on North Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 7:54 a.m. March 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The suspect allegedly fled the area in a white KIA sport utility vehicle.

Identity theft

A resident of Springridge Drive East, Lower Macungie Township, discovered an unauthorized order was placed on a Home Shopping Network account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 18 and the order was canceled before the item was shipped.

Two residents of Laurel Lane, Lower Macungie Township, discovered their personal information was used to attempt to open a bank account March 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A resident of Fairway Lane, Lower Macungie Township, learned personal information was used to open a bank account without authorization between 10 a.m. March 15 and 9:39 a.m. March 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A juvenile allegedly deposited a fraudulent check for $14,000 to TD Bank, 5980 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township and withdrew $7,500 from the account with a second bad check March 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft of vehicle

A 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck and 20 gallons of gasoline were removed from a location on Church View Road, Lower Milford Township, between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Bad checks

A resident of the 1100 block of Grange Road, Lower Macungie Township, learned a check for approximately $2,930 he deposited in his bank account was fraudulent, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 2.

Scams

A resident of Goldenrod Drive, Lower Macungie Township, sent $5,500 worth of gift cards in a scam after a caller advised the resident of a problem with an Amazon account and IP address, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 1.

A resident of Trexlertown Road, Lower Macungie Township, sent $1,030 in gift cards through social media after he was told he won a cash prize, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident happened between Feb. 24 and March 3.
