Lehigh Township Police Officer Craig Ball was promoted to sergeant and was recognized at the July 28 supervisors meeting.

“Ball successfully completed the promotional process, which began in January,” Police Chief John Henry said. “The process included a lot of studying, a written test and two interviews.”

Ball is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University as well as a graduate of the Allentown Police Academy.

He began his career with Lehigh Township June 22, 2025, and, for most of that time, he has played a leadership role.

Ball is a field training officer and a firearms instructor. He is in charge of the property room and has assisted with and been the lead on many criminal investigations.

Henry said Ball is a mentor to the younger officers who are just starting their careers and, most importantly, “he has their respect.”

Ball was presented his badge by his wife, Megan, and their children, Christian and Madelyn.
