Bridget S. Sullivan, 55, formerly of Macungie, died Sept. 29, 2021, in Cypress, Texas, with her family by her side. She was the wife of Jim Scandola. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth McCarthy.
She graduated from Holy Family Academy, Bayonne, N.J.
She worked as an aide helping disabled children at Lower Macungie School and as a field operations assistant at Buckeye Partners, LP in Macungie.
She was a devoted wife and mother who adored her family and friends. She was a kind, loving and compassionate soul who never met a stranger. She would always be the one to host an event or holiday and loved to cook and entertain. She was all about making people happy.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Capt. Matthew; daughters, Cassidy and Kelsi; stepdaughters, Sarah and Aylor Scandola; a stepson, Joseph Scandola; brothers, Kevin McCarthy (Denise), of Providence, R.I. and Francis McCarthy Jr. (Michelle), of Bel Air, Md.; godmother, Susan Johnson (David), of Mechanicsburg; extended aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as her in-laws. She was predeceased by a sister, Karen Sorber.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters in Sobriety of Texas where she found support, friendship and peace.
A funeral Mass will be held Dec. 11, as a combined service for she and her father who died Aug. 11. Visitation will start 9 a.m. and Mass will follow 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 250 E. Hancock St., St. Clair.
