South Whitehall Township had its annual fishing derby April 17 at Covered Bridge Park.
This was a banner year for large trout as many approached 5 pounds.
According to South Whitehall Township Parks and Recreation Manager Mike Kukitz, winners of the fishing derby were: under age 4, Kye (2.71 pounds); ages 5-8, Mason (4.77 pounds); ages 9-12, Alexis (overall winner with a fish of 5.82 pounds) and ages 13-15, Aiden (4.77 pounds).

Tori Morgan holds Aiden Henning's 4.77 pound rainbow trout. Henning was the winner of the 13-15 age group.
