Robert S. Check, 91, of Northampton, died Oct. 17, 2020, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Minerva (Stoudt) Check.

Born in Freemansburg, he was a son of the late Stephen and Mary (Fekula) Check.

He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War.

He was a welder for Bethlehem Steel for 31 years until he retired in 1983.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714, Northampton, and of the Coplay Saengerbund.

He is survived by two sons, Robert of Allentown and Michael of Hellertown; four daughters, Deborah Rinker, Eileen Culver and Cheryl Anne Check of Allentown and MaryElizabeth Driscoll of New York; a sister, Dorothy Haas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard.
