David “Cleaver” M. Schwartz, 77, of Whitehall, died Oct. 17, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital-Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Ruthann M. (Moyer) for 52 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Andrew and Mary (Marx) Schwartz.

He was a Class of 1961 Whitehall High School graduate, where he lettered in three sports and was on the 1957 Connie Mack championship baseball team.

He worked at Exide Corporation for 30 years. He then worked part time at Saucon Valley Country Club.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Stiles.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Julie Schwartz and Jen Hughes and her husband Shawn; two granddaughters, Molly and Morgan Hughes; and a sister, Mary Harding.

He was predeceased by a brother, Andrew Schwartz.
