Couple’s concerts have people dancing in the streets

Special to The Press

In the July 2 edition of the Parkland Press, this reporter wrote about musicians Robin and Jim Seip of South Whitehall Township who perform in their driveway on Saturday nights.

Since then, I have been enjoying their concerts.

It is so refreshing to get out and hear music during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Because there was a promise of rain last Saturday, the concert was presented Sunday night, Aug. 29.

In addition to listening, several folks got up and danced in the street.

Don and Charlotte Ritter, of Salisbury Township, who usually dance at the Knights of Columbus for fun and exercise, but can’t do that now, were happy to dance to the music of Robin and Jim.

Charlotte was celebrating her birthday on Sunday night and everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to her. She is 89 years young.

The next free concert will be at 6 p.m. on Sept. 11 in the parking lot of 3900 Hamilton St., South Whitehall, the strip mall across the road from Dorney Park.

Rain date is Sept. 12.
