Theresa “Tessie” M. (Sodl) Bretz, 93, died at home Feb. 4, 2020. She was the wife of the late Albert Bretz Jr. for 59 years.

Born in Stiles, she was a daughter of the late Mary and Stephen Sodl.

She worked at the Lehigh Valley Dairy and was a Lehigh County home health aide.

She sang in the West Coplay Maennerchor and church choirs.

She is survived by two daughters, Marita and her husband Richard Rabenold of Coplay and Donna and her husband Steven Volkert of Lehighton; a sister, Margaret Malitsch; a brother, Godred Sodl; four grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Amanda and Sierra; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Rose, Mary and Helen; and three brothers, Al, Edmund and Stephen.
