Allen/East Allen townships: Historical society antiques show set for March 3, 4
The 10th annual Governor Wolf Historical Society antiques show will be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. March 3 and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. March 4. The show is held on the grounds of the 1785 Wolf Academy, 6600 Jacksonville Road. The site also includes the Ralston McKeen House and Monocacy School.
All three buildings will be filled with antiques, including country art, folk art, original paintings and primitives. The dealers will include Dave Irons, William Fretz, Abby Brooks, Stephen Burkhardt, Claudia Collins, Helen Bryan, Brian Hart, Stephen Zluky, Mary Beach, Ken Vliet, Brad Hamilton, Sally Szezag, Jean Torrie, David Koch, Patrick Murray, Marsha Batts, Carol Alfred and Carol Redler.
The Ralston McKeen House has seven original fireplaces, which add to the ambiance of the antique displays in room settings. The large walk-in fireplace will be used for demonstrations of hearth cooking using period equipment, complete with tastings.
In the Monocacy School, lunch will be available from the Daily Grind, of Bath, and will include homemade soups, sandwiches, fresh-baked cookies and more.
There is a cost, but parking is free.

The Chestnut Street antiques show will be held in the fellowship hall at Christ Church of Bath, 109 S. Chestnut St. This show is 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 3.
Included in the treasures on sale will be primitives, holiday items, gardening tools, linens, country furniture, blue decorated stoneware, decoys, lamps, jewelry and collectibles. The dealers will include Terri Horwath, Deborah Rogers, Rudolf Stumpf, Charles Brehm, Dorothy Tamashausky, Rick Heim, Paulette Lichtenwalner, Connie Bossert, Beverly Graczyk, Patsy Menecola, Carol Berkoff, Rosemary Johnsen and Lorie Edwards.
Lunch will be provided by the church ladies in the Garden of Feedin’ Café, including homemade soup, hamburgers, hot dogs and baked goods.
There is a cost, but parking is free.

East Allen Township Recreation Department is accepting registrations for its 2018 spring sports programs.
T-ball and baseball are available for boys ages 5 to 14. All baseball teams will participate in the NAA House League/Parkland Youth League.
Soccer is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 16. All soccer teams will participate in the Northern Valley Youth Soccer League.
Coaches and their assistants provide the township with both an ACT 34 clearance by Pennsylvania State Police and a state child abuse history clearance.
Registration is underway at the municipal building, 5344 Nor-Bath Blvd. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
