Want someone to cut your grass? Similar to the sidewalk snow-shoveling program, the borough has a list of individuals who will mow your lawn, which is especially helpful for seniors.

For residents wanting their grass cut, or for persons willing to do the work, call the borough office at 610-262-6008.

New American flags have been placed by American Legion Post 426 at veterans' graves at Coplay and St. Peter's cemeteries, an annual Memorial Day ritual.

The Coplay Saengerbund will host Common Bond on the pavilion stage, Fifth Street and Schreiber Avenue, Friday, May 22.

She Said will perform there May 29.

The club will hold its annual choral concert, Stiftungfest, in June.

During the borough's recent tire drop-off, 102 tires were collected. Lafarge Cement accepts the tires, burning them as fuel.

The Coplay-Whitehall Sewer Authority asks property owners who have not had their residences inspected regarding the elimination of sanitary sewer overflows and clear water entering the sewer system to contact the CWSA, 610-437-2060, ext, 11.

These inspections are federally mandated.
