Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St., will be having a cheer raffle this Saturday.

The doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Refreshments will be available starting at 6 p.m.; platters will be available from 6 to 8 p.m.

Tickets will be available at the door.

The Catasauqua Garden Club will take audience members on a boat trip down a Russian river Wednesday, May 6 at 1 p.m.

Fred Buss, a Pennsylvania master gardener and avid traveler and birder, will share his talk titled "Spring Scenes from the Volga River."

There will also be the usual artistic and horticultural exhibits for judging.

Light snacks and a discussion about the plant sale at the Catasauqua Library May 9 at 9 a.m. will follow.

The doors will open at noon and bingo starts at 1 p.m.
