Coplay Sports Inc. youth teams are currently enmeshed in league basketball competition, but spring is also on the minds of the members of the organization. The group is holding youth baseball and softball sign-ups for boys and girls 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Sixth Street field house.

Coplay Saengerbund is preparing to observe its 100th birthday in 2017.

Founders and many members have their roots in Austria, and the bonds with the Burgenland State continue.

Current Burgenland residents, from locations such as Stegersbach and Strem, will be represented at the Saengerbund's anniversary fete. Some of these guests have made regular visits to the Coplay, club and to Northampton, as was the case a couple of years back when the Burgenland governor and his delegation came to town. The group was given the royal treatment at the Saengerbund.
