The Lehigh Valley Soccer Scholar Athlete Banquet will be held on Jan. 11, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at the Northampton Memorial Community Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. in Northampton. There will be 76 soccer scholar athletes honored.
The guest speaker for the evening will be Ms. Amy Hough, assistant women's coach at Lehigh.
Also that evening, John Larry Endy, soccer referee, John Lojko, a key in starting the Emmaus Youth Soccer Program and Siegfried T. Mayr, a founding member of St. Thomas More Parish Soccer Program.
Jared Fantasia – Northampton
Fantasia is a midfielder for Northampton with one goal and four assists in 2014. He holds a 3.95 GPA and ranks 11 out of 381 students. He is a member of National Honor Society, Library Club and Board of Advisory Teens (BOAT). Fantasia also serves as the Spanish Club President. He has played club soccer for various teams over the last 11 years. His plans after high school are to attend Pennsylvania State University and major in Electrical Engineering.
Brenna L. Curran – Northampton
Curran is a midfielder for Northampton with one career goal. She ranks 9 in a class of 384 with a 3.97 GPA out of 4.0. She has spent the last nine seasons playing club soccer for Triboro Soccer Club. In school, she is a member of the French Club, DECA, Caring Kids, National Honor Soceity, PEACE Club. Curran also dances and is a student-teacher for dance. Curran plans to attend college after graduation to major in Occupational Therapy.
