Becahi's Nick Maff captured the first-ever East Penn Conference golf title which was held at Woodstone on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
Maff fired a 77, one stroke better than Pocono Mountain East's Ryan O'Malley and two better than Emmaus' Kevin Caverly and Max Harrington, Parkland's Brian Cummings and Central's Erik Ridley who all had 79.
Northampton's Carter Test performed well in the match, shooting an 80 to place seventh overall and earn a medal as well as a place on the All-Conference team.
The Kids Michael Kovalchik shot 84 and was just two strokes out of a medal.
Jack Test had a 88, Taylor Foust a 94 and Corey Feist a 97.
Freedom's Helen Hsu shot a 79 to win the girls title. Emmaus' Sam Fritzinger had an 82.
Emmaus was the regular season champion (405 - Best 5 of 8 Golfers) and tournament champions (322 - Best 4 of 5 golfers). The Hornets get an automatic birth in District 11 3A Team Tournament.
Maff and Hsu get automatic berths into the district tournament.
Monday's (Sept. 29) District 11 qualifier is at Mahoning Valley Country Club. The top-20 advance to districts in 3A, and the top-18 in 2A.
Districts is Monday, Oct. 6, at Shawnee Golf Course.
