LV takes Silver

Ian Csencsits and Will Stackhouse, both upcoming juniors at Northampton Area High School, were key members of the Lehigh Valley team in the Scholastic Division of the Keystone State Games baseball tournament held July 31-Aug. 3 at various fields across the Harrisburg/Hershey area. Tryouts were held for juniors and seniors over June and July to fill the LV team, which consisted of 20 players from across the Lehigh Valley and Pocono areas. Eight regional teams from across the state participated in the wood bat tournament. The LV team posted a 4-2 record on the way to winning the silver medal. LV had wins against Blue Mountain (6-4), Delaware Valley (5-4), Nittany (15-1) and West (5-3). Both losses came against the Capitals (1-0, 4-3) team made up of players from the Harrisburg/Hershey area. The Lehigh Valley team consisted of: Matt Miller Central, Logan Steidinger Liberty, Tanner Shane Moravian Academy, Connor Davila Nazareth, Ian Csencsits Northampton, Will Stackhouse Northampton, Zach Luke Nortre Dame - Green Pond, Tyler Bruno Parkland, Evan McAndrew Parkland, Isaac Neal Parkland, Harrison Rabenold Parkland, Jeff Strisovsky Parkland, Dan Zaccaro Parkland, Nick Dominici Pleasant Valley, Matt Pierce Pleasant Valley, Luke Hohenstein Pocono Mountain East, Bryce Crum Whitehall, Austin Dreisbach Whitehall, Gianni Sinatore Whitehall. Coaches were: Greg Candelmo Head Coach, Eric Domitrovits Asst Coach, Joe Domitrovits Asst Coach, Eddie Sarmiento Asst Coach.
