Cetronia firefighters responded March 1 to a dumpster fire at Aamco, 3050 Hamilton Blvd, South Whitehall.

A passing motorist noticed smoke coming from the Dumpster. He stopped to alert the business employees.

Using three fire extinguishers and a garden hose, the employees pretty much extinguished the fire by the time firefighters arrived.

As a precaution, the fire crew used foam-enhanced water to saturate the dumpster to prevent any rekindle of the flames. Cetronia Engine 311 was on scene about 30 minutes.
