Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, invites you to spend a fun afternoon swapping knitting tips and tricks 1:30 p.m. Feb. 28.

The Knitting Circle is for all ages and skill levels. Bring knitting materials and enthusiasm.

The library's discussion of books made into films continues at 7 p.m. Feb. 27. New members are welcome.

Temple Beth El, Springhouse Road, South Whitehall, presents 2013 Total Purim with fun and activities 6:45 p.m. Feb. 23.

There will be a costume challenge. Come dressed in your Purim finest, goofiest or super-hero-est.

There will be not-so-grand prizes for kids, adults and group costumes.

At 7 p.m. there will be a Megillah reading, a family Megillah reading in the sanctuary until 7:30 p.m. or a complete Megillah reading in the chapel.

At 8 p.m., join in a Midrasha Purim Carnival with games, prizes and dessert.
