South Whiteall police issued 45 traffic citations and 10 written warnings to drivers in the 4200 block of Broadway and the 2700 block of Mauch Chunk Road during Operation January Slam on Jan. 24.

Members of the South Whitehall Township Police Patrol Division conducted the traffic enforcement operation to target speeders between 11 a.m.-11 p.m. using electronic speed timing equipment.

The citations and warnings were issued for speed and other vehicle code violations.
