Pierogi run debuts Oct. 8

In celebration of National Pierogi Day, the Emmaus Run Inn, Morty’s Steaks, David’s Italian Market and PaPa Sarge’s Homemade Pierogies are joining together to hold the annual Pierogi Run in Emmaus Oct. 8.

New Balance will also be on hand to showcase their running shoes and offer awards and raffle prizes to participants.

Runners will gather 6 p.m. in front of Emmaus Run Inn, 322 Main St., Emmaus, to navigate four quarter-mile loops while consuming one of PaPa Sarge’s pierogies before each loop.

More than 35 runners are expected to participate.
