Helen M. Roveda, 90, has died.

Born in Colle Umberto, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Ida (Sandre) Roveda. She spent her formative childhood years growing up in Eritrea before immigrating to the United States.

She graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School.

Helen was a hairdresser for over 50 years and was the owner and operator of Elena’s Beauty Salon.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Gina M. Borso; and her brother, Lorenzo Roveda.

She is survived by two sons, Robert J. Cimerol and his wife Robyn and Victor A. Cimerol and his partner Lori; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
