City field hockey teams all started off on the losing end on the season’s opening weekend.

Liberty fell to Bangor 3-0 and Freedom had similar fate against the Slaters, losing to them 5-0 last Friday.

Bethlehem Catholic fell to Pen Argyl 15-0 in their opener.

All three teams look to bounce back this week when the first full week of the season gets underway.

Liberty has three matches this week against Stroudsburg, Pocono Mountain West and a Saturday showdown on the road against Freedom.

The Patriots have four games with Nazareth, Northampton, Saucon Valley and Liberty on tap.

Becahi has Pocono Mountain East, Pleasant Valley and Palisades.
