Northampton Area School District will be closed Sept. 7 for Labor Day.

PTA meetings are approaching. A strong school community involves teachers, students and parents/guardians. Joining the PTA is a great way to support your child and their classmates while getting involved with the school.

If you are interested and would like to learn how you can be involved, contact your child’s school PTA through the appropriate school websites.

The PTA is always welcoming volunteers and support from the community.

A bingo event, sponsored by the PTO, will be held Sept. 11 at East Allen Elementary. There will be two sessions: 5-6:30 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m.

There will be a bake sale and other refreshments for sale. Venmo and cash will be accepted.

East Allen Elementary’s mascot and Croc charm sale is underway. Students received an order form for the sale. All orders must be returned by Sept. 14.

The presale Konkrete Kids sock sale is underway. These are great comfortable, breathable and durable sports socks. They are perfect for practice and everyday wear. There are also other items, beanies and blankets but a limited amount available.

There is a limited time for presale.

NAMS’ clothing closet is in need of donations for women’s pants (sweats and leggings) size small through extra large. The closet also assists families in need of winter coats.

Donations can be dropped off at the main entrance during school hours.
