Parkland High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Kyle Stinner as the school’s new head softball coach, replacing longtime coach Barry Search who retired after this past season.

Stinner brings a passion for the game, a commitment to developing student-athletes, and a deep appreciation for the traditions of softball.

While he has established his own coaching philosophy and leadership style at both Whitehall High School and Lehigh University, he also carries a proud family legacy in the sport.

He is the son of legendary softball coach Ed Stinner, whose decades of success and dedication to the game inspired countless players and coaches throughout the community.

His sister Deanna was a key player on the 2009 state championship Parkland softball team.

Kyle’s mother Mel also starred on many Parkland High School softball teams before graduating in 1980.

Athletic Director Andy Stephens believes Stinner is the right person to lead the program into its next chapter.

“We are excited to welcome Kyle Stinner as our new softball coach,” Stephens said. “He brings energy, knowledge of the game, and a genuine commitment to helping our student-athletes grow both on and off the field. His dedication, preparation and vision for our program was exactly what our search committee was looking for.”

As head coach, Stinner will focus on developing fundamental skills, fostering a competitive team culture, and creating an environment where student-athletes can succeed in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.

Stinner is a mathematics teacher at Parkland High School.
