The summer concert series continues with Triple Dog Dare performing 7-10 p.m. July 31 at the Catasauqua Park and Playground amphitheater, 501 American St. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, and settle in for a fun, musical night in the park.

Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association’s Biery House, 8 Race St., will have an open house 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 2. Come visit the museum of Catasauqua history, check out period decor, and bring kids for a fun scavenger hunt.

Parking is available in the Deily Coal Yard off Union Street.

Catasauqua Garden Club meets Aug. 5 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua. Doors open 12:30 p.m., and the meeting starts 1 p.m.

This month, the speaker is Master Gardener Krystal Snyder. Learn about the ongoing Penn State Flower Trials — garden laboratories and garden classrooms for academic study such as horticulture — or even just attend for personal enrichment such as inspiration or simply selecting the best plants for your garden.

Garden-friendly visitors are welcome.
