Lehigh Township Historical Society will be holding a gravestone preservation workshop 10 a.m.-noon July 25 at Berlinsville Cemetery, 4686 Poplar Drive, Walnutport. This is a hands-on, basic gravestone cleaning demonstration.

Information on protocols will be explained, along with recommended tools and techniques. Materials will be provided.

A rain date will be announced if postponed due to weather.

LTHS will be holding a barbecue-to-go event, catered by Country View Meats, noon-3 p.m. Aug. 9.

Pickup is at LTHS Historical Centre, 3811 Lehigh Drive.

Choose from either half a roasted chicken or pulled pork with barbecue sauce, baked potato and roll with butter. Choose two sides from the options of applesauce, baked beans or creamed cabbage. The meal includes a piece of homemade cake.

Lehigh Township Police Department will host National Night Out 6 p.m. Aug. 4 at Berlinsville Park, 4610 Aspen Drive, Walnutport. Come out for a fun evening while meeting other members of the community.

There will be demonstrations by Wolf Pack Search and Recovery 6:20 p.m., Lehigh Township K-9 Cash 6:40 p.m., Lehigh Township Fire Department 7 p.m. and a duck race 7:20 p.m. There will also be a basket raffle, food and a bounce house for the kids.
